I always find the philosophy behind how people view their avatars fascinating. I often discuss with others how I view Dolly; some agree with my opinions, but many don’t. I recently and inadvertently stepped on a friend’s virtual pinkies and hurt their feelings because I didn’t realise how much they saw their avatar as an extension of themselves. Well, as I always say to Sugar Daddy, I am shallow and see Dolly as just that. I used to adore dressing up and playing with dolls as a little girl (in fact my Mother has never got over the fact that I haven’t given her a grandchild with ‘my obvious maternal tendencies’!). Dolly is my excuse as a grown up to do what I did when I was little, only she is a gazillion times better than any dolly I dressed up and played with as a child; in fact I love ‘My Dolly’… share the love and love your dolly too <3.

I love it when I get a tip-off about a new designer, especially when the work is as great as Eclectica’s!
It’s easy to get yourself a pearl necklace in Second Life, but Eclectica’s jewellery is something entirely different. I love love love detail and this work has it in bucket loads. The textures and styling are simply outstanding and the prices are really reasonable.
Up until recently, Eclectica’s work could only been seen at the main store in a sky box above Sinaburoe which is probably why it hasn’t received much coverage. However, the label now has a concession on the upper floor of Lost Dream’s main store which I am pleased to say is bound to ensure more and well-deserved exposure.

This is probably going to sound crazy to those of you who are familiar with Cupcakes, but until I saw ou la la mode’s recent series of ‘<3 Cupcakes’ posts, I didn’t know them as a clothing designer. I greatly admire Elisabeth Villier’s style and, if she loves the label, I knew it must be good. So, I trotted along to the store to take a look and sure enough, their range of clothing is fantastic. Now I ❤ Cupcakes too!
This cute as a button sailor dress is typical of the quality of Cupcake’s work. In the clockwork dolly picture, I’ve combined it with a jacket from eLDee, but wanted to show that it has lovely little sculptie puff sleeves and nice detailing on the bodice and neckline too.
